Platform revenue and payouts
OnlyFans (operated by Fenix International Ltd.) reported $7.2 billion in gross platform revenue for fiscal 2024, up 9% from $6.63 billion in 2023. Roughly 80% of gross spending — about $5.76 billion in 2024 — was paid out to creators, with the platform keeping its standard 20% commission. Net platform revenue came to about $1.4 billion, with $684 million in pre-tax profit.
| Fiscal year | Gross platform revenue | Creator payouts (~80%) |
|---|---|---|
| 2023 | $6.63 billion | ~$5.3 billion |
| 2024 | $7.2 billion | ~$5.76 billion |
Creator and fan account growth
| Year (end of) | Creator accounts | Registered fan accounts |
|---|---|---|
| 2019 | 348,000 | 13.5 million |
| 2021 | 1.61 million | 188 million |
| 2023 | 4.1 million | 305 million |
| 2024 | 4.6 million | 377.5 million |
The competitive takeaway inside those numbers: fan accounts grew ~24% in 2024, creator accounts ~12% — demand is still outgrowing supply, but with 4.6 million creators, discoverability is the binding constraint. OnlyFans has no internal discovery feed, which is why traffic and conversion operations decide outcomes more than content volume does.
How much creators actually earn
The distribution is brutally top-heavy, and any honest statistics page has to say so: the average creator earns around $180 per month, the bottom half of accounts earn less than $100 per month, and the top 1% of creators collect roughly a third of all creator earnings. Averages on this platform describe almost nobody: the realistic question is not “what does the average creator make” but “what separates the top decile from the rest.”
In our own managed accounts, the answer is operational: roughly 68–74% of net revenue is earned inside the DMs (published dashboards here), which is exactly the part most solo creators cannot cover around the clock. Model your own numbers with the earnings calculator or check what management would need to add with the commission calculator.
Quick facts
Platform commission: 20% of all transactions, unchanged since launch. Payout minimum: $20. Roughly 70–84% of creators are women; around 79% of visitor traffic is male; the largest visitor age bracket is 25–34. OnlyFans recorded about 468 million monthly visits in December 2024.
Sources and methodology
Platform financials are from Fenix International’s filed accounts as reported by Variety and Yahoo Finance. Account-growth and distribution figures are compiled from Supercreator’s statistics guide and cross-checked against multiple industry datasets; earnings-distribution figures are widely reported estimates, not official platform disclosures. DM-revenue share is our own first-party data from managed accounts. We review this page when new fiscal-year accounts are filed.
