The trap in this math: pushing sends up usually pushes open and buy rates down. Segmented, well-timed sends with conversation follow-up beat volume every time, which is why managed accounts send fewer messages and earn more per message.
Apply NowThe four numbers that decide a PPV send
Revenue per send is list size times open rate times buy rate times price. Those four numbers are not independent, which is what makes pay-per-view pricing harder than it looks. Raising the price lowers the buy rate. Raising send frequency lowers the open rate, because fans who felt sold to last week open more slowly this week. Growing the list quickly usually lowers both, because new fans have not yet built the habit of opening your messages.
This is why the same creator can send twelve messages a month and earn more than another sending thirty. The high-frequency account is trading a durable asset — the willingness of the list to open — for short-term revenue, and the decline shows up four to six weeks later, when it is hard to trace back to the cause.
The most useful way to use the calculator is not to find your maximum but to find your floor. Set the price where you are now, then drop the buy rate by a third and see whether the monthly figure still works. If it does not, the current price is carrying more risk than it looks.
Pricing without burning the list
A practical rule: price the send against the fan segment it is going to, not against the content. The same clip can reasonably be twelve dollars to a fan who joined last week and thirty to one who has bought six times, and sending both the same message at the same price loses money on one end and goodwill on the other. Segmentation is the single biggest difference between a managed inbox and a self-run one, and it costs nothing to start.
The second rule is to leave the unsend alone. Pulling a message that underperformed feels like damage control, but it teaches the list that messages disappear, and open rates fall accordingly. It is better to send less often and price with more care.
Common questions
What is a good PPV price on OnlyFans?
For most accounts, between ten and thirty dollars for a standard send, with higher prices reserved for segments that have bought repeatedly. The right number is the one where price times buy rate is highest — which is rarely the highest price you can get away with once.
What is a normal PPV buy rate?
Among fans who open the message, five to fifteen per cent is a typical range, and anything sustained above fifteen usually means the price is low relative to what the segment would pay. Buy rate measured against the whole list rather than against openers will look much lower and is a different metric.
How often should I send PPV messages?
Frequency that works for one list overwhelms another, but the pattern is consistent: open rate falls as frequency rises. Increase sends gradually and watch the open rate rather than the revenue, because revenue keeps rising for a few weeks after the list has already started to disengage.
